Old Halliburton   guys  Bud Tait  and Clyde  Nuttings  do you remember them.  I worked around  both of them in the 70's.  I thoroughly enjoy your  stories.  I remember staying in the Miami Hotel  in Teheran, was  there 74-76, I was working for SEDCO . There was a bar downstairs or on the second floor in a corner.  Lucy's Bar  I think she  ran the bar, bleached blond, not too young. I thought she looked  good later that night.  Later we had a big house with lots of rooms, and we kept them full, yeah it was good there.
 
I was working on a mud pump  and my  driller yelled out to look.  Santa Fe 100  or 99 ? caught on fire about  2 miles away in Agha  Jari Field and  then all the  condensate that had  flowed out  for days  caught on fire.  Half the world was on fire right in front of me and it was getting  closer.   We drove back to camp  and stopped and   drove or walked up by the   crown  , now  laying on the ground and got  photos with the  fire  burning  right behind us.  I still have the photos .Later I met  Bill Murchison there and also Boots and Coots  who used to eat in our  mess hall.
 
 I spent  4-1/2  years rotating  into Angola in the  early 80's  and went  back and lived there  03-06. Living in Mumbai now
 
I started overseas  young,  just turned 24 ,  I will be 60  next year.  Saved all my money too, not like a lot of folks.
